The Kewaunee County Economic Development Corporation Agriculture Committee is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to Kewaunee County Farmers!  Since 2012, The KCEDC Ag Committee has worked with a host farm to showcase a wide array of agricultural careers to approximately 1,000 area 7th and 8th grade students from Kewaunee County and the surrounding areas.  This is a two day event that takes place every other year.  The committee is now accepting applications for the 2016 Ag Career Days event which is slated to take place on April 21st and 22nd at an area farm.  Historically the event has featured over 40 career-focused speakers, offered volunteer opportunities for more than 60 community members and agricultural advocates, as well as showcased agricultural careers to approximately 1,200 students and educators.  Numerous media sources have worked with the committee and past host farm to help highlight the event and the farm throughout the state of Wisconsin.  If your farming operation has interest in becoming the next host please contact Jennifer Brown, KCEDC Executive Director at info@kcedc.org, or download the application at http://kcedc.org by clicking on the Targeted Industries tab, then Agriculture.  The deadline for applications is May 15, 2015.
