Luxemburg based Forest Construction Co. celebrates forty years in business in 2017. For John Nimmer, (President of this family owned and operated business) “adapting to changing markets” is critical to staying relevant and growing the business. John, who also serves on the Kewaunee County Economic Development Board of Directors, offered insight into “business” at Forest Construction Co. in 2017.

Last fall, it looked like 2017 would not be as busy as previous years.  However, the milk price has moved up, and the market continues to evolve with more interest in milking parlors with robots, a newer niche that helps keep our business rolling along.  Also, goat and organic farming are newer areas of business.

Storage building projects remain strong throughout our area.  Where did everybody put their stuff before? There is a trend toward maxi storage (typically 16′ X 42′ with at least 12′ X 13′ overhead doors) and heated storage.

We look forward to helping out with Farm Technology Days; the first time in Kewaunee County.  We have built dozens of buildings for Ebert Enterprises and expect a lot of positive feedback from the show.Forest Construction
