The Board of Directors and Leadership Team of the Kewaunee County Economic Development Corp (KCEDC) would like to send its heartfelt condolences to the family of John Pagel and Steve Witcpalek.

KCEDC owes a debt of gratitude to John and his family for their vision in helping create KCEDC’s Ag Career Days held bi-annually on their Kewaunee farm to teach Middle-School aged children from the Kewaunee, Algoma, Luxemburg-Casco, Denmark and Southern Door School Districts, that farming was just more than milking a cow, it was conservation, agronomy, accounting and strategic planning – all items that make a business successful.

Lynie Vincent, Chair of KCEDC said: “John was always a person who you could call up and ask a question, whether it be about agriculture, business in general, or even ask him why he voted in a specific matter on County Business, and John always gave you not only the reason why he did it this way, but would ask if he was missing something or if I had an opinion otherwise, he would want to know about it, and if he saw something he missed, he would do everything in his power to make it right”. Furthermore, Vincent said, “He always treated people with respect and kindness, and that is what I will miss the most about John.”
