Amber Hewett, KCEDC current Board Chair, Acting Executive Director
During these unprecedented and challenging times, the Kewaunee County Economic Development Corporation (KCEDC) acknowledges it needs to play a bigger role in the future of our county, through listening to our local businesses and developing and sharing resources that are needed for their success.
The Board of Directors decided that a change in leadership was necessary to build confidence and move KCEDC forward as it works to repair relationships with local businesses, government, and all other stakeholders.
KCEDC plans on announcing the search for a new Executive Director in the near future and in order to ensure continuity going through this transitional time, the Board of Directors has named Amber Hewett, current Board Chair, as Acting Executive Director.
Amber has been a member of KCEDC Board of Directors since 2019 and brings a strong business background, as well as Master’s Degree in Economics. She is looking forward to serving in this critical role and offers her thoughts:
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as Acting Executive Director during this time of transition. I am very passionate about building a strong and vibrant economic development corporation for our county and look forward to working in collaboration with the rest of the board, staff, elected officials and local businesses to welcome new leadership into our next phase of organizational growth.“
The Board of Directors is extremely grateful to Amber for taking on the Interim role as it seeks a new Executive Director and transition KCEDC Leadership.
KCEDC is initiating an executive search for a new KCEDC Executive Director. They have established a search committee to help guide the process and are seeking input of staff, board members, and the communities of Kewaunee County as they move forward in the process.
